Hello! Karena here…one half of WonderWell. Back when Brooke & I started WonderWell in February of 2018, we had all these bright, shiny, new ideas about our business. Mind you, our experience in business is slim, to put it nicely. We love self-care. We love WonderWell. We were bursting (and we still are, more than ever!) to share all of this with you. So we were ready to do all the things: workshops, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, email lists, a website! a blog! Just to name a few.

Then we realized that we’ve made our first mistake of starting a new business…not the blog part, but the “ready to do all of the things!” part. You see, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d want to start a business. But here I am, starting a business. We are starting a business. Over these past 10 months, we’ve learned so much from those that know a thing or two about business and are generously giving away so much of their knowledge (Jenna Kutcher with Goal Digger Podcast,  Emily Thompson and Kathleen Shannon with the Being Boss podcast and book, to name a few favorites). Wonderful, smart, people that are sharing their knowledge is a huge part of the reason for making Generosity as one of WonderWell’s core values.

There are so many bits and pieces to know and learn when starting a business. One huge lesson we’ve learned thus far is that it’s all a process. The journey. You try something, it doesn’t work, you try something again. Kind of like incorporating self-care into your daily routine! But exploration and learning is all part of what makes us grow, and that’s the fun part.

I’ve kept a journal since I was 6 and a “photo blog” for about 10 years, before Instagram was around (and it’s probably still floating around somewhere on the world wide web). Brooke and I have had so many wonderful conversations, shared so many tips and tricks,  gathered so much evidence about why self-care (and the different aspects of self-care) is so important, and have learned so much about self-care over these past 10 months that it’s time to start connecting with people and sharing with the world. That’s why these posts will be a semi-regular thing and will consist of tips and tricks, resources (i.e. podcasts, books, articles, people, etc.) that we love, evidence supporting the importance of self-care, and little life stories.

Welcome! We are so grateful to have you with us on this journey.
